Snapchat is one of the largest social apps on the planet. The messaging app lets users share quick ephemeral snaps with friends, family, and followers. Now, the only way to save a snap/story on Snapchat is to take a screenshot of it. However, if you do take a screenshot, then you should remember that Snapchat will notify the sender. They will receive a message saying that you’ve taken a screenshot. This can be a problem if you don’t want the other person to know that you’re saving their photos. Not to worry though, as we will show you four methods to take a screenshot on Snapchat without them knowing on iPhone.
1. Turn on Airplane Mode on iPhone
The easiest way to screenshot Snapchat on the iPhone is simply launching the app, wait for the snap to load, and then enable Airplane mode. Now, you can open the snap-in Airplane mode and take a screenshot. However, this doesn’t always work. Here’s how you can do this.
Launch Snapchat on your iOS device and Swipe over the page with the Snaps and Stories. Wait for a couple of seconds for them to load.

Go back to Snapchat and view the snap/story. It should load the image and you can now take a screenshot. Since there is no data or Wi-Fi connection, Snapchat will not be able to notify the other person that you’ve taken a screenshot.
2. Use Screen Recorder on iPhone
You can use the in-built screen recorder feature on your iOS device to record the snap. This doesn’t qualify as a screenshot, but you will still be able to view the image or story whenever you like.
Open Snapchat and head over to the Snap or Stories page.
Swipe up from the bottom to bring up the Control Centre. The screen recorder button will be available here.
If you can’t see the option, then you will have to add the button.
Launch the Settings app and scroll down to Control Centre.

3. Use QuickTime on Mac

4. Use Another Phone to Record
If you have a spare phone lying around, then you can use it to record the snap or take a picture of it. Simply start viewing the Snapchat story or snap on your iOS smartphone and then use the other phone’s camera to take a picture. For videos, you can use the other device to record a video.
